After bagging 3 medals on the 7th day, Indian athletes will look to continue their gold rush as wrestlers led by Sushil Kumar will feature on the 8th day. Indian shuttlers alongside squash and table tennis players will look to seal a spot in the quarter finals. 18:10 pm: India women’s hockey team lose 1-0 against to Australia in the semifinal. They will be playing England in the bronze medal match.

5:10 pm: India’s Seema Punia wins silver in women’s discuss throw final. Navjeet Dhillon wins a bronze courtesy of a 57.43m throw in her last attempt to overthrow Taryn Gollshewsky of Australia and Sositina Hakeai of New Zealand.


4:51 pm: Nellickal Neena and Nayana James finished 10th and 12th in the women’s long jump final.
