India’s head coach Stephen Constantine had announced the team for the all important clash against China which will be be played in Suzhou on October 13. India recently finished as runner-up in the recently concluded SAFF championship where they lost to Maldives in the final. India fielded an U-23 team in the tournament and Constantine has brought back a full strength team for the clash against China.
India are yet to register a win against China as the Blue Tigers have played 17 matches against Red Dragons where the latter team won on 12 occasions and 5 matches ended in a draw.
In the last encounter between the two teams in Nehru cup of 1997, China emerged victorious with a scoreline of 2-1.
