Rio Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi Malik and Commonwealth Games gold winner Vinesh Phogat will lead a six-member Indian women wrestling team for the Asian Games 2018 to be held in Indonesia later this year.

Wrestling Federation of India freed Sakshi, who won bronze in recently concluded Commonwealth Games and Vinesh Phogat, who won gold medal at the Gold Coast from the trials considering their current form and past performances.
Sakshi will represent the country in 62kg freestyle category, whereas, Vinesh will carry India’s hopes in 50kg freestyle category.
Four other wrestlers went through the trials in Lucknow’s Kanpur road based SAI centre to get an Asian Games ticket.
Other wrestlers are Pinki (53kg), Gold Coast CWG silver medallist Pooja Dhanda (57kg), Gold Coast bronze medallist Divya Kakran (68kg) and Gold Coast CWG bronze medallist Kiran (72kg).
The Asian Games will be held in Jakarta and Palembang from August 18 to September 2.
