Goswami returns for England ODI series

Indian women's cricket team for 2018 ODI series against England announced

BCCI announced 15-member Indian women’s cricket team for 2018 ODI series against England, to be played in Nagpur. Opener Punam Raut was dropped from the team which played against Australia, this month.  Uncapped 23-year-old Tamil Nadu allrounder Dayalan Hemalatha has been named in place of Raut, who was criticised for slow batting in the ODI series against Australia earlier this month which India lost 0-3.

Middle-order batswoman Devika Vaidya alongside Jhulan Goswami, who missed three-match ODI series against Australia due to a heel injury, were named in the team. Left-arm spinners Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Ekta Bisht also recovered from their injuries to return to the squad.

The matches will be played on April 3, 6, 9 and 12 in Nagpur.

The All-India Women’s Selection Committee also picked India A squad that will play a practice game against England Women.
