Middle order- Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli(c), Ajinkya Rahane, Hanuma Vihari
Indian middle order especially Ajinkya Rahane had lot of questions to be answered but the Mumbai batsman scored 70 runs in the second innings of first test to announce his arrival to form in style. Man of the match Cheteshwar Pujara will again be the Mr. dependable for India followed by Virat Kohli, who will again look to make Perth his hunting ground.
Rohit Sharma looked in great touch in the first innings of first test match but his old tendency to throw the wicket away has raised questions over his credibility yet again. He could score just 1 run in the second innings that may make way for Hanuma Vihari, who proved his worth in the England with his all-round abilities.
India was short of one bowler in the first test match. Murali Vijay was used as the 5th bowler in the team and the inclusion of Hanuma Vihari will strengthen the bowling attack.
Wicket-keeper- Rishabh Pant
The Delhi batsman has all the talent to change the complexion of the match but his tendency of playing foul shots at crucial juncture of the game has often drawn criticism. He would retain his place in the team but the team management will expect him to play some long and impactful innings.
