Stand in Mumbai Indians captain Kieron Pollard played the best innings of his T20 career after he smashed 83 runs off just 31 balls to see his side home after they were struggling at 94-4, chasing a mammoth target of 199 runs at Wankhede stadium. Pollard has been struggling with the form for last two years and a big impactful innings was needed for him to re-establish his place at the top yet again.
Responsibility was the thing which got him back to even terms after the big hitting Trinidadian hit 10 mammoth sixes to establish his authority as the big hitter yet again. However, Kings XI Punjab bowler Ankit Rajpoot also stole the limelight after he winked at Pollard amidst the Mumbai Indians chase.
Fans on social media revisited the days when a lesser known Malayalam actress Priya Prakash Varrier’s wink in a music video went viral on Internet and she became a national crush. They compared Rajpoot’s wink to that of Priya Prakash.
