The build to the 12th season of the IPL has allready started as all the eight franchise owners announced the list of their retained and released players ahead of the auction next month. Some of the big names like Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh were released from their respective side and now it may get down to the auctions where some of these big names may remain unsold. We take a look at those probable players.
3- Yuvraj Singh
The man from Chandigarh is certainly in the last phase of his career and it got worse when he could manage just 64 runs in seven games in IPL 2018 for Kings XI Punjab. His home franchise again showed the faith in him and purchased him for a budget deal of two crore rupees last season.
However, the growing age and slowing pace is not helping the cause of Yuvraj in the domestic cricket. Leaving one or two innings, he failed to create an impact in the Vijay Hazare trophy which was a big proving ground for him.
His lacklustrous form in domestic cricket might not help his cause of getting yet another IPL contract which may cut down his chances of featuring in the 2019 world cup, which is his last hope.
