IPL: CSK CEO gives an update about MS Dhoni's availability in the next season

The fans were heartbroken when CSK lost IPL 2019 final to Mumbai Indians by a margin of just 1 run and the disappointment on the face of skipper MS Dhoni said it all during the post match presentation. Fans believed that Thala was featuring in his last season in the IPL and he will retire by the next season from world’s most money generating cricket league. Amid all the speculations, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan is confident that the veteran of 341 ODIs will continue to serve the three times champion.

“We are confident he will come back. In the last two years, there were talks that he is not batting well, but statistically, he has had two great years. He had a stellar last season, and this time he did even better. And knowing him, he would do that for India in the World Cup too. He will definitely come back,” Viswanathan told Indian Express.

Despite the growing age, Dhoni turned out to be a star performer for CSK in a game of youngsters by becoming the highest run scorer for the Chennai bound franchise. When asked about his comeback next season, Dhoni was hopeful that he will continue playing.

“Hopefully, yes,” Dhoni Sanjay Manjrekar during the post match presentation of IPL final 2019.

Dhoni and India’s world cup dream

The man from Ranchi will be gearing onto play in his fourth world cup and will have a big role of guiding the team and the captain when the situation demands. On a personal front, Dhoni was adjudged the man of the series in the three match ODI series in Australia and since then his form with the bat has been exceptional.
