As injury woes continue to encircle the IPL, New Zealand’s leg spinner Ish Sodhi replaces Zahir Khan in Rajasthan Royals. Sodhi has been acquired at his base price of INR 50 lakh. He was picked from the Registered Available Player Pool (RAPP) list and this will be his first outing in the IPL.
The India-born spinner who plays for New Zealand has featured inĀ 15 Tests, 22 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 26 T20I for New Zealand so far. He is an integral part of the Kiwi team alongside Mitchell Santner in the spin department.
Sodhi has picked up 102 wickets in 92 T20s at an average of 23.09 and economy of 7.66.
Rajasthan Royals next face Delhi Daredevils on 11th April at their home venue.
