Team India will lock horns against arch-rivals Pakistan in the ongoing world cup on June 16th. The two teams last played in Super four stage of Asia cup 2018, where the men in blue emerged victorious. However, after the Pulwama terror attack in February 2019, there has been a huge demand of boycotting the world cup game against Pakistan.
1983 world cup winning skipper Kapil Dev feels the current Indian team is far better than the Pakistani team and he does not see the men in blue losing to Sarfaraz Ahmed led side in Manchester.
“Looking at both the teams the Indian team is definitely far better. I am not saying because I am Indian. But I feel when I was playing the Pakistan team was much better than us. Today I can say that if they play 10 matches, India will win 7. India are far better than Pakistan. What happens that day God knows,” Kapil said.
Kapil further went onto say that Virat Kohli is far better captain than him and quipped him as the number one player of the current generation. “Virat Kohli. He is too good. I don’t think I can compare myself with him. He is really good. He is the no.1 player in the world,” he said.
