Team India’s star batsman KL Rahul is in news for more reasons than his game. Recently, Rahul was famous in B-town after reports of him dating Sunil Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty was spread, later reports stated that the Karnataka batsman is dating Alia Bhatt’s best friend Akansha Ranjan Kapoor. His name was earlier linked with Bollywood actress like Nidhi Agerwal, Sonal Chauhan and Zareen Khan but all the divas rejected the claim of dating the cricketer.Is KL Rahul dating Alia Bhatt's best friend

There were reports surfacing that Akansha may travel to England to cheer for Team India and KL Rahul in the recently concluded World Cup. She could not travel to England but made sure that she applauded the performance of Rahul by posting Instagram story.

It is learnt that Rahul spent some time with Akansha Mount Mary before leaving for the World Cup with the Indian team. It is speculated that Akansha spend invest a lot of time with Rahul despite her busy schedule. She recently made her acting debut in Anki Tiwari’s single- ‘Tere Do Naina’ alongside Ayushmann Khurrana’s younger brother Aparshakti Khurrana.

KL Rahul reacts

The 27-year-old from Bengaluru reacted to the dating rumours and said that his focus is on cricket at the moment.

“Oh, all these things have been written about? I don’t really read the papers, so I don’t know what has been written about me. I have learnt to keep my personal life personal and not make it a thing to talk about. I am committed to cricket right now,” he was quoted as saying by Bombay Times.

Rahul didn’t got an opportunity to showcase his batting prowess in the ODI and T20 series against West Indies as Shikhar Dhawan opened the batting alongside Rohit Sharma. He will be seen playing as an opener in the Test series starting on 22 August, in the absence of Dhawan. Rahul scored 36 against West Indies A in the three-day practice game.
