Kolkata police have written to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) seeking details of cricketer Mohammed Shami’s visited destination after the South African tour. The police have also seized the mobile phone which wife Hasin Jahan accused was Shami carrying when he accused him of adultery at a news conference.

“We have sent a letter to the BCCI and (we are) waiting for their response, we have sought details of his (Shami) tours and routes. We are yet to receive any response from the body”, Joint Commissioner of Kolkata Police (Crime) Praveen Tripathi said on Monday.
“Both sides are yet to approach court seeking a settlement. Hence, there is little question of letting our guards down,” said a source at Lalbazar.

According to sources, Hasin had informed police that Shami was to return home on 16th February, he however returned a day later. “This is one aspect on which we want a clarification from BCCI,” said a police source.
Allegations have transpire that Shami had taken a bypass through Dubai while returning to India from South Africa. The cops are yet to verify whether Shami was the only Indian player to take a bypass through Dubai. If yes, they will like to know who funded the trip.
However there may be some direct flight from South Africa to India but majority of flight have a layover in Dubai enroute to India.
