17:30 pm: India’s Anas Yahiya finishes 4th in men’s 400m final, narrowly misses on a bronze. Anas was competing against the mighty Jamaicans, Olympic finalists and world record holder but he really eked out the performance of his life to clock a time of 45.31 and break the national record. He allready broke into the headlines by becoming the first Indian to qualify for the finals of 400m at CWG.


17:00 pm: India’s Hima Das qualifies for the finals of women’s 400m. She finished third in the semi final but qualified for the finals as the fastest looser. What an achievement for an athlete who is making her debut at a major International event.

16:58 pm: Satish Kumar enters the semi finals of men’s 91+ kg boxing. He defeats Nigel Paul of Trinidad and Tobago by a split decision of 4-1.


16:00 pm: India’s Manoj Kumar enters the semi finals of men’s 69 kg boxing. He defeats Terry Nickolas of Australia by a split decision of 4-1.


15:02 pm: India’s Hussamudin Mohammad wins his quarter final bout against of Everisto Mulenga of Zambia by unanimous decision.

11:31 am: Heena Sidhu wins gold in women’s 25m air pistol and opens India’s account on Day 6. She also creates a Games record in the process.


11:05 am: Naman Tanwar with an impressive showing in the Men’s 91kg boxing quarterfinal, he advances to the semi final.


10:30 am: Para Events: In the Women’s TT6-10 Singles Group 2-Game 2, Vaishnavi Sutar has lost.


09:50 am: Amit Phangal wins his bout in men’s 46-49 kg weightlifting, to reach the semi final. He assures himself a bronze.


09:45 am: Athletics Update: Ayyasamy Dharun clocks a time of 49.85 to finish 5th in the heat of men’s 400 m hurdles, fails to qualify for the semi finals.


09:27 am: In Mixed Doubles squash, Dipika Pallikal and Saurav Ghosal beat FUNG-A-FAT Mary/KHALIL Jason-Ray of Guyana 11-3, 11-3 in just 13 minutes.


09:22 am: Badminton: Satwik Rankireddy and Ashwini Ponappa beat Guernsey’s Stuart Hardy & Chloe Le Tissier 21-9, 21-5 in first round of mixed doubles.

08:00 am: In women’s doubles squash, Dipika Pallikal and Joshna Chinappa have beaten Faiza and Madina Zafar 11-10, 11-0, 11-1


07:10 am: Heena Sidhu and Annu Singh have qualified for the final. Annu finished 2nd while Sidhu finished 4th in qualifying.


06:53 am: India have beaten Malaysia in the hockey and have qualified for the semi-final. The 2-1 win against Malaysia was India’s second win of the competition, earlier they beat Wales 4-3


05:44 am: Gagan Narang and Chain Singh are through in men’s 50m Rifle prone Qualification. The final starts at 8.30 am.


9th April-23:38 pm: Heena Sidhu and Anuraj Singh will be the first Indian in action on day 6, competing in the women’s 25m air pistol qualifying round, action starts from 4.31 am. Stay with us for all the updates.
