Gold Coast Commonwealth gold medallist Manika Batra and Mirabai Chanu signs with sports management firm IOS. With this deal, Manika and Mirabai join the likes of Amatuer boxing star MC Mary Kom, Pro boxer Vijender Singh and shuttler Saina Nehwal on the IOS roster.
The company stated that they will now manage their endorsements, appearances, brand profiling, patents, licensing and digital rights, images, and visibility on social networking sites.
Table Tennis star Manika Batra won 4 medals at the Gold CWG including 2 gold medals in women’s singles and women’s team event and 1 silver and 1 bronze in women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
Commenting on this new association, Manika said “I am happy to be on board with IOS Sports & Entertainment. They have managed most of India’s top sportspersons and I look forward to a great partnership with them.”
World champion Mirabai Chanu won gold in women’s 48kg weightlifting at Gold Coast by breaking the games record with a total lift of 196 kg(86 kg in Snatch and 110 kg in Clean and Jerk).
