Four time IPL champions Mumbai Indians will again start as the overwhelming favourites when they take the ground for the upcoming season of IPL. They were not needed to do alot of shopping in IPL 2020 auction as they allready have a strong core group to win them their 5th title in 2020.
They were quick to start the bidding war as they became the first team to bid successfully and got the services of Chris Lynn for his base price of 2 crore rupees to add another opener in the team. This will only make life difficult for skipper Rohit Sharma, who again has to push himself in the middle order. Nathan Coulter Nile emerged as their most costly pick in the auction.
The team will be led by Rohit Sharma and possess world class players in all the departments. The batting department has has the likes of Chris Lynn, Rohit Sharma and SuryaKumar Yadav. The team boasts of some of the top all rounders Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya and Kieron Pollard.
There are several wicket keeper batsman in the team including Ishan Kishan, Quinton De Kock and Aditya Tare. The bowling line up becomes way too lethal with the likes of Dhawal Kulkarni, Jasprit Bumrah, Lasith Malinga, Mitchell McClenaghan, Rahul Chahar, Sherfone Rutherford and Trenth Boult.
