Mirabai Chanu and Virat Kohli to be conferred with prestigious Khel Ratna

The Sports Ministry announced that Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and world champion weightlifter Mirabai Chanu will be conferred with the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna on September 25.

Virat Kohli has been the spine of Indian cricket from a recent while, whereas, Mirabai Chanu was considered following her triumph in 2017 world championships and Gold Coast Commonwealth games.

Tennis star and multi times Grand Slam champion Rohan Bopanna alongside javelin star Neeraj Chopra and 19 other sports-star will be felicitated with Arjuna Awards by President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhawan

The ministry also announced the recipient for Dronacharya and Dhyan Chand Awards.
