Delhi Daredevils paid a whopping Rs 16 crore rupees for the stylish southpaw back in 2015. He is an exception in the list as all the other names were retained but on the other hand Yuvi went into the auction and was sold after a fierce bidding battle.
Yuvraj didn’t proved his worth and scored 248 runs in 14 matches with one wicket for the DD and was eventually released by the franchise. Since then, he has played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad and has scored 236 and 252 runs in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
He was sold to Kings XI Punjab in IPL Auction 2018 at his base price of 2 crore but his inconsistent run for his former franchise meant that they released him ahead of 2019 season. The 37-years-old almost went unsold in the 2019 auction, but his name was called for the third time and he was eventually sold to Mumbai Indians for his base price of 1 crore rupees..
