MS Dhoni just one run short to reach 10,000 ODI runs once again

MS Dhoni just one run short to reach 10,000 ODI runs once again

Mahendra Singh Dhoni completed 10,000 ODI runs in the England ODI series during the second one day International at iconic Lord’s stadium. He became the fourth Indian batsman to achieve the rare feat, however 174 of those runs came in a game playing for Asia XI against Africa XI in 2007.

He needed 24 runs in last match to complete the milestone but felt just short by one runs to achieve the rare feat. India will be eyeing yet another series victory at home and will hope that MS Dhoni comes to bat and complete 10,000 runs, playing for the country.

Dhoni will enter the club as the only lower order batsman to reach the milestone.

In 2018, the former captain has scored just 252 runs in 12 innings. His average is just 25 along with a poor strike-rate of 68.10.

Although, by achieving the rare feat he will join Virat Kohli as the active member to enter 10,000 club.
