Indian team led by its inspirational captain Virat Kohli dominated the proceedings in the first two ODIs against New Zealand and are allready 2-0 up in the series. The men in blue comfortably won the first ODI by eight wickets followed by a 90-run victory in the second ODI.

The dominating performance prompted New Zealand police to praise the men in blue on social media.

The Eastern District police wrote that a group of visitors assaulted innocent looking New Zealanders in Napier and Mt Maunganui. They added that the public should be extra careful of not carrying a cricket bat or a ball.

“Police would like to issue a warning to members of the public about the exploits of a group touring the country at the moment. Witnesses report seeing this group badly assault an innocent looking bunch of New Zealanders in both Napier and Mt Maunganui in the last week. Extra care should be taken if you are carrying anything that looks like a cricket bat or ball,” the post read on Facebook.
