The defending champions Patna Pirates looks a formidable looking side after the auctions and will again be a force to reckon with. The Patna based franchise is undoubtedly the most famous kabaddi club in India with raid machine Pardeep Narwal in the ranks. In the grand auction a total of 422 players, including 58 overseas players, went under the hammer during the two-day of bidding battle where 87 players from the Future Heroes Kabaddi programme were also up for bidding. In the raiding department Pardeep Narwal was retained for a total sum of Rs. 60.5 lakhs and will be joined by experienced Deepak Narwal for whom some fierce bidding was done by the Pirates. Tushar Patil will also be a player to look out for in the raiding department.
The team retained their dependable defenders Jaideep for Rs. 55 Lakh and Manish for Rs. 29.05 lakh who will be accompanied by lesser known names who can turn out to be the surprise package in the league.
