Two more franchise joins Premier Badminton League season 4
India’s premier badminton Event Premier Badminton League (PBL) will now have 8 teams going head to head for the title with inclusion of two new franchises from Ahmedabad and Guwahati.
The Ahmedabad bases franchise will be better known as Ahmedabad Smash Masters and is owned by Padmanabh Sports Pvt. Ltd is a subsidiary of Padmanabh Industries Ltd. The third season which will commence from December 22,2017 to 14th January,2018 and will be played in 4 cities in a rolling format with finals to be played in Chennai ,the den of Chennai Smashers.

The third edition of PBL will also see the 11-point format make way for 15 point format and there will be single match a day to drive more footfalls at the stadium and viewership on Television.
The second season of the Premier Badminton League started on 1 January 2017 and concluded on 14 January 2017. It followed the same format as the earlier two leagues, and the four teams to proceed to the semi-finals were Awadhe Warriors, Mumbai Rockets, Chennai Smashers and Hyderabad Hunters. Chennai Smashers beat Awadhe Warriors 4-1 and Mumbai Rockets beat Hyderabad Hunters 3-(-1) to proceed to the final. Chennai Smashers won the tournament after beating Mumbai Rockets 4-3.
