Team India’s progress to the upcoming world cup is in right direction after the men in blue pipped Australia 2-1 and followed it with a dominant 4-1 victory over New Zealand. All the spots have allready been cemented and the return of Hardik Pandya has added depth to the bowling as well as the batting department.
The experts have allready started predicting the 15-man India squad for the world cup and its worth mentioning that the team management has just five ODIs to finalize on their squad as Australia tour India for five match ODI series in February.
Meanwhile, India coach Ravi Shastri talked about team combination for the world cup after winning the 5th ODI against Kiwis on Sunday.
The 56-years-old hinted that the team has allready found the perfect combination for the world cup. He said that most of the players automatically pick themselves owing to their impressive form with the bat or ball.
“I would think so. There will be still one or two places you will look at. In general, the team more or less picks itself. What you want is people not to lose their form with five games left before the World Cup. You, in fact, should pick every opportunity you get and make the most of it. And that is why I like the way Rayudu played today.
“This was the best game of the five matches, because from 18 for 4 to win the game, the way we did and Rayudu in particular. He batted like a millionaire in the last game,” said Shastri.
