Rohit Sharma has not been in the best of form with the bat in the ongoing test series against Australia. The Nagpur born Mumbai bound cricketer scored 38 runs in 2 innings of the first test match. He batted with aggression in first innings but threw his wicket away playing a rash shot to Nathan Lyon. He failed to create an impact in the second innings but his contributions didn’t became the reason of India’s loss as the visitors went onto win the 1st test by 31 runs.
Rohit Sharma says sorry to wife on her birthday
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh celebrates her birthday on 21st December and the India’s limited overs vice captain was surely missing his wife on the important day. He took to Instagram and wrote a heartfelt message for his wife.
“Happy birthday my other half. Apologies for not being there thought I’ll share this inflight celebration of your birthday last year @ritssajdeh ❤️.” Rohit wrote.
Rohit’s return
The 31-years-old batsman is expected to return for the boxing day test match in Melbourne starting 26th December. He suffered an injury that ousted him from the second test making way for Hanuma Vihari but the Andhra all-rounder failed to capitalize which may bring back Sharma into the team.
