WWE Clash of Champions was a superhit pay per view with Kofi Kingston indulging in a great match with “The viper” Randy Orton and retained his WWE title. The New Day lost their SmackDown tag team title to the Revivals. AJ Styles got the better of Cedric Alexander in the kickoff show to retain his United Stated title. Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman lost their RAW tag team championship to Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler that made Strowman angry and set it up nicely for main event.
The Miz could not get the better of Shinsuke Nakamura and lost the chance to bag the Intercontinental title. Sasha Banks competed against Becky Lynch in the RAW women’s title match and Lynch assaulted her after which the match was resulted in disqualification and Lynch retained her title. Charlotte Flair could not please her hometown audience and lost to Bayley in SmackDown women’s title match.
Lot was at stake for Roman Reigns against Erick Rowan, who planned brutal career ending attacks on him earlier. However, the help from his former tag team partner Luke Harper meant that he beat Reigns.
Rollins and Strowman facing off for the Universal title was the main event of Clash of Champions. However, the monster among men could not turn on his monstrous skills in the ring and ended up losing to Rollins after four stomps.
Rollins next opponent revealed
Rollins celebrated and walked down the ramp to the locker room area before it all turned black and “the fiend” Bray Wyatt attacked him. He first hit him with sister abigail and then locked him with the deadly Mandible Claw. The show ended up with Wyatt standing tall.
It is clear that the undefeated “Fiend” will take on Rollins for Universal title at WWE Hell in a Cell, which is scheduled to take place on 4th October(5th October in India). It will be interesting to see if he make an appearance to RAW and faces-off Rollins.
