Shah Rukh Khan apologises for KKR’s ‘lack of spirit’ in match against MI

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has apologised for the “lack of spirit” after his team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) lost the match to Mumbai Indians at the ongoing Indian Premier League. Khan who is the co-owner of KKR with actress Juhi Chawla and her spouse Jay Mehta, on Wednesday night took to Twitter to apologise to KKR fans.

“Sports is about the spirit and wins/losses don’t reflect that. But tonight as the ‘Boss’ I need to apologise to the fans for the lack of spirit,” he wrote

Mumbai Indians thrashed Kolkata Knight Riders at their home in Kolkata by 102 runs on Wednesday. MI scored 210-6 at the end of the regulation overs courtesy of Ishan Kishan’s blisterring knock of 62 runs in just 21 balls and late flourish by Ben Cutting and Pandya brothers.

Chasing a mammoth target of 211, KKR never looked in the chase and kept loosing wickets at regular intervals. Chris Lynn and Nitish Rana were the joint top scorers with 21 runs as KKR got bundled out on 108 runs.
