The build to the upcoming cricket world cup has allready started with the coveted cup travelling across 21 countries of 5 continents. The trophy recently reached Adelaide in Australia which was hosted by former Australian pacer Shaun Tait.
Tait is also an Indian citizen as he married an India based model and since then has been switching to his home nation and India. He was part of the 2007 world cup winning Australian squad but could not do much justice with his fast paced bowling as his career was prone to injury and he was forced to be sidelined.
During the unveiling of the trophy, ICC gave a chance to the fans to interact with Tait. The former Australian International came live on cricket world cup’s official page and replied to some of the lucky fans. He was asked about the best bowler of the current times to which he replied with Afghanistani spinner Rashid Khan and Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah.
Rashid was the highest wicket taker in 2018 and closely following him was Jasprit Bumrah at number two.
One such fan asked him about the highest run getter in the 2019 world cup to which he replied with the names of Rohit Sharma and Kane Williamson.
