All England 2018: PV Sindhu beat Nitchaon Jindapol to enter in Quarter finals.

PV Sindhu advance into the quarter finals of All England Championships 2018

(Birmingham): World no. 3 and Olympic silver medalist PV Sindhu advance into the quarter finals of All England Championships 2018. Earlier, she was forced to play three games for the second consecutive day against world no. 11 Nitchaon Jindapol.

Sindhu started of in a convincing fashion and took the first game 21-13 against the Thai opponent. It was the second game where she faced the challenge from Jindapol who didn’t gave any chance to control the play and her supreme speed at the court was proving too god for the Hyderabadi shuttler. Jindapol took eight points advantage going into the break, Sindhu did her best to get back into the game but Jindapol had some other plans as she took the game 21-13 and forced a decider.

Sindhu was leading in the third game 8-4, but then Jindapol showed her “A” game and brought back it to level terms. Sindhu managed to stir ahead and went into the break leading 11-9. The 2 minute break prooved vital for Thai player as she surged ahead 11-12 and at one point was leading 16-12. Just when the things looked difficult, Sindhu leveled the score on 16-16. The match was well balanced with the scores tied at 18-18 but Sindhu held her nerves and took the game 21-18.

Sindhu won by 21-13, 13-21, 21-18 to advance into the quarter finals, where she will face the winner of match between Indonesia’s Fitriani and seventh seed Okuhara of Japan.
