Will inexperienced Sri Lanka challenge India in the upcoming series ?

There performance in Odi’s is more dissapointing .They lost to the not so crafted Zimbabwe in the ODI series at home 3-2 in July .They were recently demolished by Pakistan where they lost the series 5-0 against the Champions trophy triumphers .They didn’t even manage to show some sort of fight. Upul Tharanga ,Kusal Mendis, Lahiru Thirimanne are their ODI specialist  who can perform & score runs in the upcoming limited overs series because few months ago when India visited Sri Lanka they fought hard and scored valuable runs which made look Sri Lanka a bit competetive. But the fact being, they don’t have any margin for errors as India is in red hot form and especially in home conditions its tough to challenge them. The Virat Kohli led side has vast options in test and the great firepower in limited overs.

Thisara perera, the current captain of T20 side is a hard hitting guy and can score runs at ‘brisk’ pace.He is a handy player as he can bowl medium pace.An all-rounder is an asset for its team. Ahead of captaincy ,may be he can change fortunes for his team in the shortest format. Seekugge Prasanna, Niroshan Dickwella, Dilshan Munaweera they all can be dangerous in this format. Sri lanka may introduce some debutants, as they are in sort of habit of introducing 45 new faces since World Cup 2015 with the retirement of their chief players in Kumar Sangakara and Mahela Jayawardena.

If they can set-up their combination early in every field, they are capable of making it a nail bitter series. But the fact of the matter is ,India is very strong at home and in short this is a battle of an established team and a team which is still finding the right combination. But Sri Lankans have got 3 new captains in all three formats and maybe the new axes can bring some magical performances for Sri Lanka.
