Debutant Prithvi Shaw and Cheteshwar Pujara took India to dominant position on day 1 of ongoing first test against West Indies by adding 206 runs for 2nd wicket. The momentum was taken over by skipper Virat Kohli and his deputy Ajinkya Rahane by notching up a partnership of 105 runs. Virat proved why he is called a run machine as he went on to complete his 24th test ton.
In the process he surpassed some of the records achieved by greatest of the red-ball format.
