India looks strong in just Womens singles and lack in all the other 4 categories. Its pretty tough for this Indian team to cross the group stage ,but considering a good day,Indian shuttlers can well create an upset to defeat any of those top teams.

The main focus will again be on PV Sindhu to set an example for other Indian shuttlers . In Mens Single, lot is expected from Srikanth who recentely finished as runner up in Singapore open loosing to his countermen Sai Praneeth. The womens double specialist , Ponappa & Sikki would be looking to give some impressive performance, considering the vast experience they have. The mixed doubles pair of Pranav Chopra & Sikki Reddy would love to repeat their golden performance of Syed Modi Grand Prix(Lucknow,2016) where they won the title. In mens doubles,Sumeeth and Attri should play fearlessly as they have nothing to loose considering the higher rank opponents they will face.Indian team could well try an experiment of playing Satwik and Chirag in the mens doubles, these young turks are arguably the future of Indian badminton and are ready to take up the challenge at the International arena.
