Suresh Raina has been ruled out of next two matches in IPL 2018

Chennai Super Kings’ main Arsenal Suresh Raina has been ruled out of next two matches in IPL 2018 due to calf injury. CSK’s next two match are scheduled against Kings XI Punjab on Sunday (April 15) and against Rajasthan Royals on Friday (April 20). The Dhoni led side has won the starting two encounters against Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders in a nail biting encounter. Raina’s absence in the middle order may open doors for any other young Indian batsman to join the center stage.

Raina caught up with the injury during the last match at their home against Kolkata Knight Riders. He was seen limping when completing a run against Sunil Narine in the 10th over, he experienced pain and received medical attention from the team physio Tommy Simsek. He was later dismissed on a score of 14.

Earlier, Kedar Jadhav was also ruled out of the whole season following a hamstring injury, which he caught up during the opening encounter against Mumbai Indians. South African captain Faf Du Plessis is recovering from the finger injury and side strain and is likely to be in the playing 11 against Kings XI Punjab on April 15.
