The fans were eager to know the schedule for the upcoming IPL season after the conclusion of player auction for season 12. However, BCCI was waiting for the final confirmation of the schedule of general elections to decide on the schedule for IPL 12 but cricket’s governing body doesn’t want to wait more and is set to announce the schedule on Monday(3 February, 2019).
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the schedule will be a provisional one and BCCI can make changes to it once the schedule for general elections is announced. The upcoming season of the IPL will start from March 23, owing to the cricket world cup that starts in the last week of May.
Franchises to get three home matches in IPL 2019
A report states that BCCI has informed the franchises that they will only get three home games this season and the rest games will be played at a neutral venue owing to security issues.
