WWE surely have got a competition with the emergence of All Elite Wrestling company which will feature veteran wrestler like Chis Jerico and emerging talents like Cody Rhodes. Meanwhile, a recent report state that the wrestling promotion may acquire the services of Hardy Boys(Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy), who are considered an iconic tag team getting their recognition in WWE way back in late 90’s.
Jeff Hardy is currently plying his trade in SmackDown brand where he is not in the picture for any title as his feud with Samoa Joe continues to build. The senior one- Matt Hardy is currently out of the in ring action and is expected to return back soon.
Both the superstars were part of Total non-stop wrestling action wrestling but their arrival to WWE at Wrestlemania 33 was a sheer treat for the WWE Universe. The company has managed to get their services for over two years as of now.
Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio discussed on the possibility of the Hardy Boyz signing a deal with AEW.
“I know that both of their deals will be up right before WrestleMania because they signed right before WrestleMania a couple of years ago. I could see [WWE extending their contracts] right now. I don’t know it, but it makes sense. I know they don’t want Matt and Jeff Hardy as free agents right now, you know?”
“The Hardy Boys going to AEW to feud with The Young Bucks? Man, I wouldn’t want that at all if I’m WWE,” said Meltzer. If the Hardy Boyz depart, it would be a huge loss for the WWE as the duo are very popular amongst the WWE fans.
