- Navdeep Saini: The 26-year-old pacer has been in sublime form in domestic cricket for Delhi. He got his maiden India call-up in one-off test against Afghanistan but did not get to feature in the playing XI. The Haryana born pacer has been in limelight for consistently bowling at 145 km/hr and his impressive performance for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2019 earned him a ticket to England where he is currently serving as the net bowler for the Indian team.
He will be hoping to make his India debut after the conclusion of the world cup and be in contention for the next world cup and 2020 World T20.
- Rahul Chahal: Its the era of the wrist spinners and Chahar proved it right by delivering for Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2019. He picked 10 wickets in the season with an impressive economy of 6.55. The Agra born Rajasthan bound cricketer also picked 14 wickets in four innings for India A against Sri Lanka A. Considering the hammering that Kuldeep Yadav has suffered in the ongoing world cup, Chahar is expected to be the new member of India’s spin twin alongside Yuzvendra Chahal.
- Yuzvendra Chahal: The 28-year-old will retain his place in the team and is expected to be an integral part of Indian bowling line-up.
- Jasprit Bumrah: The 25-year-old has played a key role in India’s success in the league stages and will be hoping to continue the show in the knockout stages of the tournament.
