Dynamic Pakistan fast bowler Hassan Ali has achieved a yo-yo test score of 20 and has surpassed the number achieved by India captain Virat Kohli, who according to reports registered the best score of 19.2. A Yo-Yo test was conducted on the Pakistani players before the Asia cup where Hassan Ali was the top scorer.
According to a report in Sports360, Sarfraz Ahmed and Shoaib Malik also took the test and managed to post a score of 18.4 and 17.8 respectively, which is no match to the score of Ali.
Importance of Yo Yo Test
It is compulsory for a player to take and pass the test in order to applicable to play for the Indian cricket team. India have set their minimum benchmark at 16.1, while England and New Zealand have their minimum scores at 19. Pakistan and Sri Lanka have kept their minimum achievable scores at 17.4.

Karnataka middle order batsman Manish Pandey has managed to register the best yo yo test score when he registered the figures of 19.2.

Former India hockey captain Sardar Singh was ousted from the squad for Commonwealth games due to his slow paced game that didn’t helped the cause of India’s midfield and he was sidelined by Sjoerd Marjine who was the national coach at that time.
The veteran midfielder who represents Jaypee Punjab Warriors in Hockey India League then started working hard on his fitness. In the process he achieved a score of 21.4 in yo-yo test.
