MS Dhoni was recently ousted from the India T20 as he wanted young Rishabh Pant to take his place in the T20 team. He recently celebrated the 29th birthday of his wife Sakshi Dhoni in Mumbai and is allready making the most of his off-time from cricket.
Dhoni will make his comeback when he tour Australia for the ODI series, next year in January. The Ranchi lad brings his much valuable experience to the team but the “batsman” Dhoni is not a trustable option for the team and as a result the management is pushing him down the order.
Most Influential Indian
Despite his career taking a reasonable dip, Dhoni continues to be an influential force in the country. According to a latest survey, Dhoni is the third most influential Indian after Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone.
The YouGov Influencer Index 2018 covers consumer understandings of around 60 leading Bollywood celebrities and sports personalities. They released the list of most influential Indians on Tuesday.
According to the list, Bollywood veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan tops the list followed by Deepika Padukone, who recently got married to Ranveer Singh.
The ranking system is based on data collected from close to 1,948 respondents in India this month using its panel of over 6 million people on global level. The ranking system measured the awareness, likability, trustworthiness and influence of the celebrities in the following categories- health, wellness and beauty/ personal care, technology/ automotive, fashion, apparel and accessories, food, drink and travel and financial services.
Sachin Tendulkar(ranked four) and Virat Kohli(ranked six) are the other two cricketers to feature in top 10.
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar(ranked five), Aamir Khan(ranked seven), Shah Rukh Khan(ranked eight), Priyanka Chopra(ranked nine) and Alia Bhatt(ranked 10) are the others who featured in top 10.
