Rohit Sharma has all the technique in the world to be a test specialist for India but his consistent run in ODIs from 2013 has not been the case with his test career. The Mumbai batsman scored a century on his test debut against West Indies in 2013 but since then the journey has not been a fairy tale for the 31-year-old.

He last appeared in South Africa test series in January, 2018 where he failed to create an impact batting in the middle order. He was eventually dropped for the test squad on which he said that he is not thinking about test squad as the majority part of his career is over and he wants to enjoy the remaining cricket left in him.

The Nagpur born was again trusted for the test series against Australia which may come as his last chance to perform and be in the radar of the selectors for red ball cricket. He might have to be content in the middle order but one impactful innings is all he needs to cement his place in the whites.
