1- The corridor of uncertainty in the batting order
India was hammered with a 4-1 series loss in England thanks to the uncertain batting order that became a reason of downfall. The team management didn’t show faith in the players who didn’t perform in the starting tests and as a result they were either dropped from the squad or were either left to warm the bench.
The selection of new players and the uncertain batting order became a big reason why Indian team could not pip England in the test series despite getting too close to victory in two matches.
In the Australia test series, Virat Kohli is the only batsman to cement his place in the team and the other remaining slots are still questionable.
India will have to stick with the same playing XI for the majority of the series if they want to count on this opportunity of winning the first ever test series in Australia.
