The Haryana Hurricane revolutionized Indian cricket after he successfully led a low lying Indian team to triumph in 1983 world cup and holding the trophy at Lord’s balcony will always stay as one of the best memory in the mind of an Indian cricket team fan. Kapil entered the territorial army in 2008.
For his great contribution to Indian cricket, he was also awarded the rank of lieutenant colonel by the army. The additional director of Territorial army termed him as the brand ambassador and said that his inclusion will inspire the youth to take up army.
