2- Tillakaratne Dilshan
The veteran of 87 tests, 330 ODIs and 80 T20Is has plied his trade for Sri Lanka for over 17 years. The man behind the famous “dilscoop” was born to a father who belonged to the Islam following Malay group Dilshan was originally named Tuwan Mohammad Dilshan at the time of his birth.
Following the separation of their parents when he was 16-year-old, Dilshan changed his religion to that of his mother- Buddhism. Since then his initials TM have been known as Tillakaratne Mudiyanselage.
1- Mohammad Yousuf
One of the legends of the game, Pakistan was lucky enough to get the services of Mohammad Yousuf for over 12 years. The veteran of 90 tests and 287 ODIs had over 17,000 runs in his International career. However, very few know that Yousuf was the fourth Christian and fifth non-Muslim player who played for Pakistan.
He was born as Yousuf Youhana in 1974. He later changed his religion to Islam and changed his name to Mohammad Yousuf in the year 2005.
