Twitter applauds Shikhar Dhawan after he gets back to form with a century

Shikhar Dhawan(127) got over the failures of England tour and notched up a ton against Hong Kong in India’s opening clash of Asia cup 2018. All the eyes were on a low-lying southpaw from Delhi and he has certainly cemented his place for tomorrow’s high profile encounter against Pakistan.

Earlier in the match, Hong Kong won the toss and choosed to bowl first.

Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan came to bat and played some fierce strokes at the start of the innings. Both the batsman added 45 runs for first wicket before Rohit was trapped by Ehsan Khan as he mistimed the ball that went to mid on fielder Nizakat Khan.

Dhawan continued to play sensibly and piled up a 116 run stand with Ambati Rayudu(60). He eventually went on to score his ton in the 36th over on flat wicket of Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Twitterverse was happy with “Gabbar” getting back in form before an all important clash against Pakistan tomorrow.
