Out of national reckoning Suresh Raina will have a job at his hands when he leads a low-lying Uttar Pradesh in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018. UP used to be a heavyweight in domestic cricket but the departure of senior players resulted in transition period which has not been so fruitful for the Central Indian state.
Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association have announced a 16-member Indian squad that will eye glory. Rinku Singh, the boy from Aligarh, showed alot of promise in the last season and went onto play for KKR in IPL 2018, which would make him a X factor in the team.
The team also boast of some U19 talent like Shiva Singh and Shivam Mavi who will lead the bowling attack alongside experienced Ankit Rajpoot from Kanpur.
Lucknow boy Akshdeep Nath, who will be the captain of the team in Ranji trophy will look forward to create an impact to get under the radar of selectors for India A Tours.
