Team India’s experienced off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has once again got a place in the Test team. Ashwin will be leaving for a two match test series against West Indies after a few weeks. The 32-year-old is currently plying his trade in the Tamil Nadu Premier League’s franchise team Dindigul Dragons.
The Chennai lad delivered a ball in a Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) game, which surprised everyone. Ashwin’s mystery delivery is getting viral on social media. Playing for Dindigul Dragons, he bowled magnificently in the game against Madurai Panthers on Monday and picked three wickets by giving away just 16 runs.
Dindigul Dragons led by Ashwin, won the match by 30 runs. Dragons scored 182 runs in the course of 20 overs, after which the Madurai Panthers could just score 152 runs in 20 overs and fell short by 30 runs. N. Jagadishan of Dindigul Dragons was adjudged Man of the Match, who scored an unbeaten 87 in 51 balls with 12 fours and 1 six.
Ashwin’s mystery ball takes everyone by surprise
Ashwin came up with something that is certainly out of the blue and got rewarded with a wicket. He bowled with a strange action where he delivers the ball without any follow-through of his non-bowling arm.
Ashwin was bowling the last over of the game and the opposition needed 32 runs to win. He gave only 2 runs in the over and picked 2 wickets. This was Dindigul Dragons’ second win of the season and with this they have climbed the top of the table.
