Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly has finally made his acting debut which has come as a big surprise for his fans. The 47-year-old is no stranger to camera as he has plied his trade in many television commercials but this is the first time when he has acted infront of a camera.
The prince of Kolkata played a cameo role in a Bengali serial. ‘Bokul Kotha’. In the viral video on social media, a group of friends approached Ganguly and asked him the way to win. Ganguly tipped them by saying that play to the best of your ability and keep fighting till the last ball of the game.
Ushasi Ray, is the lead actress of the serial and she was in awe after acting alongside former India captain.
“I can’t explain how good Dada (Ganguly) is. I was very nervous by the thoughts that I have to share the screen with a global personality. But he is very jolly. While shooting he asked me about my residence, my studies and a lot of things. My nervousness went away when I was talking to him,” Ray was quoted as saying in Indian Express.

Ganguly is currently the President of Cricket Association of Bengal(CAB) and also does some commentary stints. He has also expressed his desire to coach the Indian cricket team in future.
