Kohli who recently completed 10,000 ODI runs was rested for the T20 series against a low lying West Indies. He recently talked about his fitness regime and said that he would continue to train post his retirement from the game.
“I will not say something which is inaccurate. I will not say that ‘I never thought that fitness will make me look good’, because at some stage everyone thinks that way,” Kohli was quoted as saying by India Today.
“Eventually, you realize that it does so much good to you in terms of your mental state, in terms of how you feel and how much more you can do.”
Virat recently celebrated his 30th birthday in the valleys of Dehradun with his wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. He will return to lead the Indian team in the all important tour to Australia where the two fierce rivals will face-off in three T20Is, four Tests and three ODIs.
