Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) chief selector Wasim Bari praises Indian skipper Virat Kohli for his proactive approach.
While expressing disappointment at inexperience of the Pakistani team which, according to him, may leave them handicapped against the strong English side in their home conditions. Bari appreciated Kohli’s decision of playing county cricket ahead of a tough series in England later this year.
Surrey signed Indian captain this month, who will appear in three matches for them in June. He is slated to miss the historic Afghanistan test at Bangalore in the process.
“Indian captain Virat Kohli has been smart as he’s decided to play for Surrey in June to get acclimatized ahead of his team’s tour in the second part of the season,” The Dawn quoted Bari as saying.
Wasim Bari said their touring side could face problems due to lack of experience and also pointed out that the Test series being a short one (only two tests) may not give enough time to Pakistani players to acclimatise to the conditions.
Kohli is currently leading Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2018.
