Rain has allready spoiled the play in the ongoing cricket world cup on four occasions. India’s clash against New Zealand was also called off due to rain in Nottingham and both the teams had to share points. India was the overwhelming favourites in the game against blackcaps but they overcame the disappointment by thrashing Pakistan in their very next game on June 16th.
India will next face a low lying Afghanistan on Saturday and rain is not expected to spoil the sport during the course of 100 overs. It is expected that the crowd and the viewers will see a full game in Southampton.
The conditions will remain sunny till 12 PM in Southampton but it is expected to turn cloudy afterwards. However, the chance of rain stands at 0 per cent. The temperature will range from 13’c to 21’c.
According to Accuweather, the weather will remain partly cloudy through the course of the day which may benefit the seamers.
