There have been a change in the gimmick of Seth Rollins off late and it appeared on last week’s episode of RAW. The Monday Night Messiah turned heel after he lost his Universal title to The Fiend at Crown Jewel last year and was readily booed by the fans.
However, Rollins being a heel, was part of a babyface moment after his WWE Title match against Drew McIntyre at Money in the Bank and accepted McIntyre’s handshake after he claymore him to retain the title.
In another instance, Rollins assaulted Rey Mysterio on last week’s episode of RAW but he was sorry for his deeds and went to apologize to the master of 619 in the backstage segment. His regretful actions clearly stated a babyface moment for the former Universal champion.
Sportskeeda’s Tom Colohue stated that Rollins may be heading towards a babyface turn after recent bookings.
“When it comes to the Money in the Bank finish, I do think they are still going face despite what happened. The reason I think that is because Seth went to apologize after he injured Rey. I don’t know whether this is going to be the whole Bray Wyatt/Fiend thing but he definitely had an out-of-body experience, attacked Rey as he did…but if he was a heel, he would not have apologized. So I’m not entirely sure which way they are going but they are keeping their options open,”
