In a happening news for the WWE Universe, their most acrobatic superstar is back in the company. PWInsider.com noted that Rey Mysterio has signed a two-year deal to return to WWE. He will make his return to the ring once script writers bring him back into the storylines.
Mysterio, 43, who wrestled for other pro-wrestling companies like AAA, NJPW and Independent circuit last appeared in WWE, during Royal Rumble on January 28, 2018 for a one time appearance.
The company tried to replace him by bringing other Mexican stars like Sin Cara and Andrade Almas. Sin Cara is out of the picture following an injury, but he didn’t gain the popularity which Mysterio enjoyed during his reigns. Andrade is a new entrant in the main roster, but its way to go for him to replace Mysterio.
What to expect
With the history of deadly injuries and the growing age, he may not be a regular in either of the brands. He will be restricted to limited dates
