WWE Royal Rumble 2018 Results: Who won, who lost.

In one of the best top-to-bottom pay-per-views WWE has put on in years, the 2018 Royal Rumble delivered from start to finish with high-quality in-ring work, developed storylines, new superstars getting put in the spotlight and (of course) the debut of one of the biggest names in combat sports history — Ronda Rousey — as the latest full-time member of WWE. WWE Royal Rumble Results 2018

The show was headlined by the Royal Rumble match, the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble, and matches for the WWE and Universal Championships. Stephanie McMahon has thought to emphasis on womens wrestling and after bringing womens wrestling to some experiments on WWE specials, the stage was again set for the first ever Womens Royal rumble match, which proved to be quite a success. Here’s a look at WWE Royal Rumble results 2018.

Kalisto, Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado defeated Jack Gallagher, Drew Gulak and TJP showdown. Kalisto won the match for his team by hitting a Salida del Sol on TJP.

The Revival defeated Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Dash Wilder pinned Anderson after a chop block.

United States Championship Match: Bobby Roode (c) defeated Mojo Rawley. This was a United States Championship open challenge match. Rawley answered the challenge, and was pinned following a tornado DDT.

2-on-1 Handicap Match for the WWE Title: Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles. Aj Styles proved himself the dominant force on two. Owens hits a superkick. AJ counters the Pop-up Powerbomb and rolls Owens for the win to retain WWE title.

2 of 3 Falls Match for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles: Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable vs. The Usos.  Back-to-back falls for The Usos. With Jay taken out, Gable and Benjamin took a little too much time to come up their double team move. Jimmy meanwhile, countered and rolled up Benjamin for the count. Usos win.

RAW Tag Team Title Match: The Bar vs. Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan. Jordan was injured with an apparent (worked) concussion after being thrown into the ring post. It was like a handicap match for Rollins who had to fight alone. Sheamus was able to connect with a Brogue Kick to win the match and got crowned as new Tag Team Championship alongside. Winner: The Bar.

Triple Threat match for the WWE Universal Title: Kane vs. Braun Strowman vs. Brock Lesnar. The action was fast and furious with Strowman starting as the aggressor, kneeing Lesnar hard in the face before Kane chokeslammed the champion. Later,  Lesnar hit Kane with an F-5 to retain the Universal Championship. After the match, Strowman stood in the ring screaming “YOU DIDN’T BEAT ME” at Lesnar. Winner: Brock Lesnar.

30-Man Royal Rumble Match.  Surprise entrants included NXT Champion Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas, Sami Zayn (after Zayn and Owens attacked #10 entrant Tye Dillinger), The Hurricane, Adam Cole and Rey Mysterio. The final four was Shinsuke Nakamura, Finn Bálor, John Cena and Randy Orton. Cena eliminated Bálor. Nakamura was able to eliminate Cena with a Kinshasa, and was able to toss Roman Reigns to the floor to win the match. Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura.

30-Woman Royal Rumble Match: Surprise entrants included Lita, Kairi Sane, Torrie Wilson, Molly Holly, Michelle McCool, Vickie Guerrero, Kelly Kelly, Jacqueline, Ember Moon, Beth Phoenix, the Bella Twins and Trish Stratus. The final four were Sasha Banks, Asuka and the Bellas. The Bella Twins teamed up to eliminate Banks, then Nikki betrayed Brie and forearmed her to the floor. Asuka was then able to kick Nikki off the apron to win the match and become the winner of the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble match. After the match, Asuka hits the corner to pose and point at the WrestleMania sign as her music hits.
